Google Maps Local Data Scrape to JSON Project

Job ID: 32016815

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

We're in need of an expert in Data Scraping / Web Scraping that can get us an exhaustive data scrape from Google Maps that will provide a complete database for all of the 2021 Google Business categories in our Geographical Area. We live on an island in the Pacific, so all of the results will be specific to our island.

The resulting project should yield the business names as defined in the list found here: https://pixelcutlabs.com/blog/google-my-business-categories/ And shall include the business names and all relevant data points. In addition, the names should be stored in both English (Roman Characters) as well as their Japanese Name (Kanji/Kana) -- As such, it may be necessary to pass the results through an online translation.

You should expect to include all the data stored and accessible for the business. In addition, we will require all the reviews, comments and other data that may be posted for the business along with any "calculations" (such as the number of reviews and comments).

Initially, the scrape will be considered a "one-time" effort, however we will want to repurpose the code to perform similar search in other prefectures of Japan. There are 47 in total, the first one is our initial focus.

In the second phase of the project we will need to build a crawler that will constantly search the stored result and look for any informational updates that affect these results (Like name changes, hours of operation changes, new reviews, etc.)

The project should be thorough and the developer selected needs to be meticulous to ensure that the resulting data is clean and accurate.

We are expecting that Python will be the language of choice for this project, and will need a rather fast turnaround. The JSON should be well formed and able to be imported into Firestore.

Please indicate the words "Doctor Who?" to show that you understand and have read this entire project; AUTOBIDS are instantly rejected... CUT AND PASTE bids are instantly rejected -- Also include your GITHUB user name, as we expect you will be a regular user of the worlds most popular source control (not Bitbucket or Gitlabs).

Happy Bidding...
