Key Responsibilities:
Web Scraping Development: Develop robust web scraping programs capable of diving deep into websites to extract specified information.
Data Extraction: Accurately extract, clean, and organize data from various web sources.
Automation: Implement automated processes for data retrieval and delivery via email.
Proof of Work: Provide examples and proof of previous web scraping projects, including detailed results and methodologies used.
Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for the developed scraping tools and processes.
Maintenance & Support: Offer ongoing support and updates to ensure the scraping programs remain effective and compliant with website changes.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on web scraping.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in languages and tools such as Python, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, etc.
Project Examples: Demonstrable proof of past web scraping projects, showcasing the ability to extract and process data efficiently.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex scraping challenges.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data extraction and processing.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer someone that already has built software for web scraping. Knowledge of Web Protocols: Deep understanding of HTTP, SSL, and other web protocols.
API Integration: Experience in integrating with APIs for data extraction.
Security Awareness: Awareness of ethical scraping practices and legal considerations.
Additional Tools: Familiarity with additional tools and libraries used in web scraping and data processing. Able to do clean coding and be able to beta test the end results with no bugs at the completion of the job.
