Build an Auction House database
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am seeking to build a comprehensive database of ART & ANTIQUES Auction Houses in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Eventually I will also want other countries. I estimate that there are probably between 1,000-1,500 auction houses in the UK and Ireland in these two categories.
Most of the directories will give you the name of the auction house and a link back to the directory publisher. In some cases they may give you an actual email address for the auction house but in other cases they will give an email address that routes through the publisher. These are of no use to us.
We only want ART / ANTIQUE / GENERAL auction houses, not those who sell REAL ESTATE, AUTOS, LIVESTOCK, etc.
The information we would like extracted for each Auction house is shown below:
Name of Auction House
The Town or City in which it is located
Email address
Telephone number
Contact name, preferably the Managing Director or CEO (if available)
The most essential piece of info is an email address, followed by a phone number. If you can’t find a contact email address then at least provide a phone number. A contact name would be good but is not critical.
Please provide your best price for researching the above information and providing the following records:
Records numbered 1,2,3 above (good)
Records numbered 1,2,3,4 above (better)
Records numbered 1,2,3,4,5 above (best)
Records numbered 1,2,4 (Not perfect – but OK -no email address, just a phone number)
To build the database you may want to scrape the directories (if possible – or simply build manually by taking the basic information from the directories and then so an online search from each auction house website).
Obviously we do not want duplicated information (ie the same data more than once).
When the UK / IRELAND database has been completed we will then look towards building similar databases for other English speaking countries.
