Automate reading emails from gmail and clicking on a verify link

I need to have a program that reads from a gmail account and then pulls any emails that match a certain subject line. Then the program should 'click' on a verify email link, so that it is like I went into the email and clicked on the link. It should constantly scan the inbox for these emails, as often as it can. I should also be able to trigger it to run when I want, and have it pull all the emails that match and click on the links from each email. I can provide the email format once awarded. Please describe in your proposal what you will use and how you've done something similar before.
