Senior DevOps Consultant (Part-Time / Project-Based)
Location: Remote | Duration: 2–3 months | Time Commitment: 10–12 hrs/week

We’re a fast-moving AI startup building multiple applications for the pharma and life sciences space. With five apps in active development and a junior DevOps engineer in place, we’re looking for a senior DevOps consultant to help us scale our infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and implement best practices across our Azure + GitHub-based environment.
What You’ll Do
Architect and provision infrastructure on Azure (App Services, Container Apps, Key Vault, Monitor, etc.)
Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for app and model deployments
Set up secrets management, monitoring, and logging following cloud security best practices
Support deployment of FastAPI / TorchServe-based ML models
Mentor our junior DevOps engineer and co-develop internal DevOps documentation

CI/CD: GitHub Actions
IaC: Terraform (preferred) or Pulumi
Code: GitHub (multi-repo setup)
Containers: Docker
Backend: FastAPI, TorchServe, Python
Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Application Insights
Secrets: Azure Key Vault, GitHub Secrets
You Have
5+ years of DevOps experience, ideally in startups or ML/AI environments
Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and GitHub Actions
Proficiency in IaC and managing cloud environments through code
Familiarity with ML model serving and containerized deployments (Plus but not needed)
A collaborative mindset and ability to mentor junior engineers
