Low-Cost Hosting Migration for Sports Website

Project Title:
Migrate existing WordPress sports club website to cheaper hosting (with future update options)

Project Description:
We currently have a WordPress sports team website (https://padraigpearsegaa.com/
) that we pay approximately $300 per year to host. We are looking to move this existing website to a cheaper hosting provider while keeping the website exactly the same initially.

The primary goal is to migrate the current site to a lower-cost host. After migration, we would like the option to update and refresh the website in the future (new photos, layout refresh, content updates), but this is not required as part of this initial project.

Scope of Work (Phase 1 – Required):

Migrate the existing WordPress website to a cheaper hosting provider

Ensure the website looks and functions exactly the same after migration

Configure SSL (https)

Set up automatic backups

Set up automatic WordPress and plugin updates

Implement basic security best practices

Confirm all pages, images, and functionality work after migration

Ensure no disruption to domain email (if applicable)

Optional (Phase 2 – Future, Not Required Now):

Refresh website design/layout

Update photos and content

Improve mobile responsiveness and performance

Ongoing small content updates as needed

Ongoing Use:
The website is low traffic and only updated a few times per year with:

Match results / scores

News updates

Occasional photo updates

Deliverables:

Fully migrated live website on new host

Admin access for editing pages and posts

Backups and auto-updates enabled

Simple handover documentation with all login details
