Comprehensive Game, VPS, and Web Hosting Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced freelance developer or team to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive hosting platform offering game servers, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and standard web hosting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server management, automation, billing system integration, and a solid understanding of hosting infrastructure. This project requires expertise in integrating commercial software (CubeCoders) with open-source solutions to create a seamless, automated, and user-friendly experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Platform Architecture & Design:
* Design a robust and scalable infrastructure for game server hosting, VPS hosting, and web hosting.
* Develop a clear architectural plan outlining the integration of all components (billing, provisioning, control panels, monitoring).
* Ensure high availability, security, and performance for all hosting services.
* Game Server Hosting (CubeCoders AMP):
* Set up and configure CubeCoders AMP (Application Management Panel) for game server provisioning and management.
* Integrate CubeCoders AMP with the chosen billing panel for automated game server delivery, suspension, termination, and upgrades.
* Customize CubeCoders AMP as needed to fit specific service offerings.
* VPS Hosting Provisioning:
* Implement an automated VPS provisioning system using open-source virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, OpenVZ, Proxmox VE).
* Integrate VPS provisioning with the billing panel for automated setup, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
* Develop templates or scripts for common operating systems and software stacks.
* Web Hosting Provisioning:
* Set up automated web hosting provisioning using open-source control panels (e.g., cPanel/WHM (if budget allows for licensing), Virtualmin/Webmin, HestiaCP, ISPConfig).
* Integrate web hosting provisioning with the billing panel for automated account creation, domain management, and resource allocation.
* Ensure compatibility with popular web technologies (PHP, MySQL, Apache/Nginx).
* Billing and Client Management Panel (Open Source Focus):
* Select, configure, and customize an open-source billing and client management solution (e.g., Blesta, Clientexec, WISECP, or a custom solution if deemed more suitable and efficient for the project scope).
* Integrate the billing panel with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
* Enable automated invoicing, recurring billing, service renewals, and client area management.
* Implement robust fraud detection and prevention measures.
* Automatic Server Delivery & Lifecycle Management:
* Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows for the instant provisioning, suspension, termination, and upgrade/downgrade of game servers, VPS, and web hosting accounts upon payment confirmation.
* Ensure seamless communication between the billing system, provisioning systems, and respective control panels.
* Monitoring and Alerting:
* Set up comprehensive monitoring for server health, resource usage, and service availability.
* Implement an alerting system to notify administrators of any issues.
* Security:
* Implement industry-standard security practices across the entire platform, including firewalls, intrusion detection, regular updates, and secure access controls.
* Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Documentation:
* Provide comprehensive documentation for the entire platform, including architecture, configuration, and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in designing and implementing hosting platforms (game, VPS, web).
* Strong expertise in server administration (Linux preferred, specifically Ubuntu/Debian).
* In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM, OpenVZ, Proxmox VE, or similar).
* Experience with web server technologies (Apache, Nginx).
* Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl).
* Demonstrable experience with CubeCoders AMP for game server management.
* Extensive experience with open-source billing and client management systems (e.g., Blesta, Clientexec, WHMCS alternatives) or developing custom billing solutions.
* Familiarity with various payment gateway integrations.
* Strong understanding of network configurations, DNS, and firewalls.
* Experience with database management (MySQL/MariaDB).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
* Familiarity with Git for version control.
Bonus Skills:
* Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for scalable infrastructure.
* UI/UX design skills for custom client area development.
