E-commerce Platform : Headless CMS vs. Monolithic Solution
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 AUD
Hello,
My company is currently evaluating e-commerce platforms, and we are looking for guidance on whether a headless CMS or a monolithic solution with plug-ins would be more suitable for our needs.
Current Technology Stack:
ERP: Pronto
Middleware: Azure
Key Website Requirements:
1. Dynamic Pricing: Display pricing for two specific products based on the customer's delivery location.
2Online Sales: Facilitate online sales for one product with a full onboarding experience.
3. Customer Portal: Provide a portal for customers to manage stock holdings of eligible products they have on hand.
4. Re-hire Products: Manage approximately 300 products that are re-hire and returnable. Customers should not be able to purchase more of these online directly; instead, they should be directed to an inquiry form.
5. Standard E-commerce Products: Support standard e-commerce functionality for approximately 100 products.
6. Transaction Volume: Anticipate approximately 500,000 transactions per year.
7. Tiered Account Structure: Implement a landlord-owner account that pays for the initial setup and/or hire cost, with the ability to set up linked tenant accounts that only pay for the usage/hire cost of the product.
Information Required from You:
To assist us in making an informed decision, please provide insights on the following:
1. Recommended Solution for Fastest and Cost-Effective Implementation: Based on our requirements, which solution (headless CMS or Monolithic with plug-ins) do you suggest for the fastest and most cost-effective initial implementation?
2. Suitability of Headless vs. Monolithic:
3. Explain why a headless solution would or would not work for our specific requirements.
4. Explain why a monolithic solution would or would not work for our specific requirements.
5. Ongoing Operational Expenses and Development: Outline the estimated ongoing operational expenses (OpEx) and development requirements for both a headless and a Monolithic solution.
6. Estimated Web Development Cost: Provide an estimated cost for the web development of each option.
7. Estimated Web Development Timing: Provide an estimated timeline for the web development of a project of this size for each option.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise. We look forward to the possibility of doing business with you.
Sincerely,
Adona
