WordPress Developer for JapanBases.org Rebuild

We are looking for an experienced web developer to rebuild our website JapanBases.org.

The website is built on WordPress, but the current version does not match our original requirements. We want the site to be rebuilt to closely resemble the old version of the website in both design and functionality.

We will provide:

Reference images/screenshots of the old website
Clear guidance on layout, features, and expected behavior
Access to the current website for comparison

Important: Before starting development, you must carefully analyze the old website images and references to gain a strong understanding of what is actually required in terms of design and functionality.

Your job will be to:

Recreate the design to match the old site
Ensure all key functionalities work properly
Work within WordPress (themes, plugins, customization as needed)
Improve usability and performance if required
Deliver a clean, stable, and scalable build

Required Skills

Strong experience with WordPress development
Website rebuilding/redesign experience
Frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Backend knowledge (PHP, WordPress customization)
Ability to accurately replicate design from references

Good communication and attention to detail

Future Work Opportunity

This is a long-term opportunity.
After successfully completing this project, we will also need help with creating 10 additional blogging websites, so there is ongoing work available for the right freelancer.
