WordPress Custom Site Development

My WordPress site is running smoothly, but I’m ready to take its functionality up a notch with a tailor-made plugin. I already have a clear idea of the workflows I need automated, so your task will be to transform those requirements into a clean, efficient piece of code that follows WordPress best practices.

Here’s how I picture the collaboration:

• You’ll review the existing theme, installed plugins and any custom snippets so the new plugin plays nicely with what’s already there.
• After a quick requirements call, you’ll draft a brief functional spec for me to sign off.
• Development will happen in a sandbox or staging environment first, using modern PHP, WordPress hooks, and secure SQL queries.
• Once the plugin meets the agreed spec and passes basic unit tests, you’ll migrate it to production and verify everything works under real traffic.

Deliverables
• Documented and fully commented plugin files packaged as a standard .zip install
• Short setup guide explaining settings, shortcodes or blocks added by the plugin
• One round of post-launch tweaks based on real-world feedback (bug fixes only)

Acceptance criteria
– No fatal errors or notices on WP_DEBUG true
– Follows WordPress Coding Standards (phpcs)
– Compatible with the latest stable versions of WordPress and PHP
