WordPress Client Portal Website

I need a modern, elegant WordPress site built primarily for client interaction. The heart of the project is a secure portal where my clients can log in, review invoices, upload files (zip, PDF, etc.), and accept an NDA before any upload is completed. I also want the portal to handle account management, activity tracking, and automated notifications so clients always know when something changes on their account.

For billing, I rely on Visa, Master, AMEX, (No discover), Square, Razorpay and PayPal, so the invoice system must let clients view outstanding balances and pay online without friction. A lightweight chatbot and a straightforward contact form should handle routine queries and new-business messages.

I don’t have a theme chosen, so I’m looking for your recommendations on a clean, responsive template plus the best-fit plugins for invoicing, file handling, and legally binding e-signatures. Please incorporate SSL, scheduled backups, and hardening steps so the site launches locked down from day one.
