Website Recovery from Web Archive
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need the full content and layout of an old site rebuilt from snapshots on web.archive.org. Since I’m not sure which platform it originally ran on, the first step will be identifying the underlying technology and then selecting the most practical way to reproduce it today.
The archived pages include a blog section with articles as well as photo-based galleries, so both text and image assets must be extracted, cleaned, and relaunched exactly as they appeared—URLs, internal links, and basic SEO tags included. Visual fidelity matters; I want the colour scheme, typography, and navigation to feel like the original, but I’m open to a modern, lightweight codebase if that makes ongoing maintenance easier.
Deliverables:
• Fully functioning website hosted on my server or a staging area I can inspect
• Restored blog posts with proper dates, categories, and permalinks
• Re-created photo galleries, thumbnails, and lightbox behaviour where applicable
• Documentation outlining the new platform, install steps, and any theme/plugins used
If any assets are missing from the archive, please note the gaps and propose sensible substitutes. I’ll provide server credentials and a domain once we agree on the approach.
