Website Messaging With Instant Alerts
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m upgrading my site with a real-time conversation area that lets registered users reply to one another at any moment. The core requirement is speed: as soon as a message is sent, every participant should see it without refreshing the page. WebSockets, Socket.IO, Firebase Realtime DB, Pusher, or a comparable push service are all acceptable so long as the alert reaches the browser instantly.
Key details
• Access is gated—visitors must create an account and log in before they can read or write.
• The component will sit inside an existing responsive layout, so the front-end should be lightweight HTML/CSS/JavaScript that I can drop into a Blade/PHP template (other frameworks are fine if you note the integration steps).
• No need for multimedia uploads or group threads yet, but please structure the data model so those options can be added later without refactoring everything.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional messaging module installed on my staging server.
2. Source code with clear comments.
3. A short read-me covering environment variables, build/run commands, and how to switch notification providers if needed.
4. Walk-through or screen-share showing the feature working from two separate browsers (proving the instant push).
