Web Student Geolocation Attendance System

Job ID: 40198907

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I’m building a browser-based platform that records student attendance the moment they check in within a defined campus radius. The application must run entirely on the web—no separate mobile build—yet remain responsive on phones and tablets. Two core capabilities matter for this first release: real-time location tracking that updates a class dashboard as students arrive, and a searchable attendance history teachers can export for reports.

Role management is simple: students log in, see today’s status, and review their own past records; teachers view their class list, watch live presence updates, and pull full attendance logs. Administrators are outside the current scope. I will supply wireframes, branding assets, and a Google Maps API key. You will design the database, develop both front- and back-end, integrate geolocation APIs, secure the sessions, test accuracy, and deploy to my AWS account.

Deliverables
• Responsive web app with separate teacher and student views
• Secure authentication and role-based access
• Live map or list showing real-time check-ins
• Filterable attendance history with CSV export
• Clear installation guide and concise technical documentation

Acceptance criteria: location is captured only when a user is within the predefined radius, duplicate entries are prevented, and the attendance history for a 50-student class loads in under two seconds. If you’re comfortable with tools like Node.js, Django, Laravel, PostGIS, or MongoDB GeoJSON, include your preferred stack and timeline in your proposal.
