Web POS for Auto Parts
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want a cloud-hosted point-of-sale application purpose-built for a vehicle spare-parts shop. The system must run entirely in the browser so it remains platform-independent and easy to access from any desktop or tablet.
Core workflow
• Track every SKU and its vehicle compatibility, update stock automatically when a sale is completed, and flag low-quantity items in real time.
• Create quick, accurate bills that include taxes, discounts, and multiple payment methods, then tie each transaction back to the customer profile.
• Maintain customer histories so staff can see previous purchases when advising on compatible parts or warranty returns.
Added efficiency
Supplier management is essential—I need to log purchase orders, expected delivery dates, and costs so margin reports are always current. Meaningful dashboards and downloadable reports should summarise daily sales, best-selling parts, stock valuation, and gross profit.
Acceptance criteria
– A responsive web app (React, Angular, Vue, or similar) connected to a robust backend (Node, Django, Laravel, etc.) and a SQL database.
– Role-based access for counter staff, manager, and admin.
– Barcode scan support for both sales and stock intake.
– Data export/import to CSV or Excel.
– Clear hand-over documentation plus a brief remote walk-through after deployment on my cloud account.
Once the final build meets these checkpoints and passes a two-week live test in our shop, the project will be considered complete.
