I need a full-featured, real-time poker platform that runs smoothly in any modern web browser. The core game is Texas Hold’em and it must support true multiplayer tables where players can join, leave, and spectate without disrupting the hand in progress.
Here’s the experience I’m after: a clean lobby shows active tables, blinds, and seat availability; players click to take a seat and the game engine immediately synchronises cards, bets, timers, and chip stacks across all connected clients with no perceptible lag. Animations should match standard poker conventions, and chip movements need to feel natural.
On the tech side, I’m open to your preferred stack as long as it delivers low-latency gameplay and is scalable for traffic spikes. Socket-based communication (WebSocket, Socket.IO, or similar) is expected, and a relational database for persistent user, table, and hand histories makes sense. Please build with a modular architecture so that adding Omaha or other variants later will be straightforward.
