Web-Based Security Staff Rota System

I need a responsive, browser-based rota and staff-management platform for my UK security company. We cover more than thirty sites, each typically staffed by three to four officers, and I want every location to have its own calendar that I can update in real time.

Core workflow
• Create, copy or drag-and-drop shifts with start, finish, role and time-in / time-out stamps.
• Maintain detailed officer records where personal information—the priority—is front and centre, supported by SIA badge data, visa status, NI, bank details and document uploads.
• Keep site files that link location details, assigned staff and total hours worked.

Numbers I can trust
I expect one-click deployment summaries by client name showing shift hours, pay calculations and automatic overtime rules. From the same data I should be able to generate officer invoices (hours × individual rate) and a client billing sheet (total hours × client rate). All reports and invoices must export cleanly to Excel or PDF.

User access
An admin panel will manage everything. Officers should have an optional login to view their upcoming shifts, declare availability and receive email or SMS notifications when a new duty is assigned.

Technical notes
• Web only for the first release, but the interface must scale smoothly on mobile and desktop.
• Data downloads must respect UK GDPR standards.
• Clean code, clear commenting and straightforward deployment on a typical LAMP or MERN stack will make hand-over easier.

Timeline
I’m flexible on delivery dates, so we can set realistic milestones and refine together without rushing quality.
