I need a purpose-built monitoring solution that keeps constant watch over the performance of my web-based appointment application. The goal is to have real-time visibility into response times, load speeds, throughput, and error rates so I can catch slowdowns or outages the moment they appear and understand exactly where they originate.
I’m open to the stack you prefer—Prometheus and Grafana, an ELK pipeline, or a hosted option such as New Relic or Datadog—as long as the final setup is reliable, secure, and easy for my team to read. Dashboards should surface key metrics at a glance, while configurable alerts (email or Slack) must notify us instantly when thresholds we define are breached.
Deliverables:
• Fully configured monitoring tool connected to the production web app
• Clear, organised dashboards highlighting core performance metrics
• Alerting rules and notification channels in place and tested
• A concise hand-off document (or brief recorded walkthrough) so my team can maintain and extend the setup
Acceptance criteria: after installation the system must run for 48 hours, log all application traffic, trigger at least one intentional test alert, and retain historical data for later analysis.
