Vintage Rustic Shopify Store Build

I’ve got a clear vision for my new Shopify store and I’m ready to turn it into a polished, high-performance reality.

The entire look should feel vintage and rustic—think warm earth tones, aged textures, classic serif type—while still loading and behaving like a cutting-edge Online Store 2.0 site. Speed is non-negotiable; pages need to pass Shopify’s own performance tests and score 80+ on Lighthouse for both mobile and desktop.

At the heart of the homepage sits one key asset: a short, carefully-compressed video of a blacksmith forging a blade. It’s there to tell the brand story, so it must load quickly, play flawlessly on every device, and remain the focal point without dragging down performance.

Because I sell age-restricted products, I need an additional step after checkout. On the native Thank-You / Order Confirmation page, customers must see a secure field where they can upload a photo of a government-issued ID. That file needs to attach to the order record or reach me through a compliant, encrypted method so I can verify age before shipping.

Clean navigation, an intuitive cart, and fully responsive layouts are essential. Please optimise every asset (image compression, lazy-loading, minimal app footprint) to keep the store lean and fast.
