I’m building a web-based CRM that mirrors the workflow of Installer.com but is tailored to EV-charger and solar installation companies. The platform must live entirely in the browser on desktop, giving every stakeholder a single place to track work from first lead to final sign-off.
Core functions to implement
• Customer management – capture leads, convert them to accounts, store site details, documents, and job history.
• Installer scheduling – drag-and-drop calendar, crew assignment, automatic time-zone handling, and conflict alerts so managers can keep technicians fully utilised.
• Reporting & analytics – real-time dashboards for revenue, install status, team KPIs, and exportable CSV/PDF summaries.
User roles
• Admin: full system control, user provisioning, global settings.
• Manager: oversees pipelines, schedules crews, approves change orders.
• Technician: views assigned jobs, uploads photos, completes checklists.
Scope of work
1. Plan the data schema and choose a modern stack (e.g. React + Node/Express + Postgres, or a comparable framework you prefer).
2. Build responsive desktop interfaces that load quickly on Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
3. Implement secure authentication with role-based permissions.
4. Connect scheduling to calendar APIs (Google or Outlook) if feasible.
5. Generate the analytics layer using charting libraries such as Chart.js or D3.
6. Deploy the MVP to a cloud host (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with CI/CD configured.
7. Provide concise technical documentation and a hand-off session so my team can self-maintain.
Acceptance criteria
• All three roles can log in and only access their permitted pages.
• A manager can create a job, assign it to a technician, and see it appear instantly on the scheduling board.
• Job status updates reflect in the analytics dashboard without a page refresh.
• System passes basic penetration testing and stores passwords hashed and salted.
