User-Friendly Auto Tools E-Commerce

Job ID: 40168516

Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD

I need a streamlined e-commerce site that lets New Zealand workshops and car enthusiasts buy the Taiwanese automotive tools and consumables I import. Above all, the build must feel effortless for the customer.

Design approach
The site should look modern and clean, yet every visual choice should serve usability first. Mobile responsiveness is non-negotiable; most of my buyers browse on phones between jobs.

Key usability features
• Easy navigation – clear product categories flowing from a well-labelled main menu.
• Search functionality – fast, predictive search so a mechanic can jump straight to the exact socket or brake cleaner they need.
(I’m open to adding reviews later, but they’re not part of this initial scope.)

Category structure
Dropdown menus suit my range best. Think: “Hand Tools › Sockets”, “Fluids › Brake Cleaners”, and so on. I’ll supply the final category list and images; you turn them into a logical hierarchy.

Core requirements
• Secure checkout with the common NZ payment options (credit/debit, POLi or similar).
• Shipping rules for nation-wide delivery, with rural surcharges handled cleanly.
• Backend that makes bulk product uploads and price updates painless.
• SEO-friendly foundations so I’m visible to Kiwi buyers searching “impact wrench NZ” or “Taiwan tool supplier”.

Deliverable
A fully tested, live website on the platform you recommend (Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar) that I can maintain in-house once you hand it over. Please include a short hand-off guide and one round of post-launch tweaks to iron out any surprises.

If this sounds like a build you can nail, tell me your suggested platform, timeline, and any past sites that show you know your way around a tool-heavy catalogue.
