Update WordPress Theme for PHP

My WordPress site runs a custom-built theme that depends on functions now deprecated in the newest PHP release. I already keep a full backup of files and database, so you can work safely on a staging copy or create one yourself. No bespoke plugins are involved—only the theme needs attention.

The job is straightforward: comb through the theme code, replace or refactor any PHP that breaks under the current version, and confirm that every template, widget area, and settings page still behaves exactly as it does now. When you are done, I expect the theme to load with zero PHP errors or notices, to validate against the latest WordPress core standards, and to run at least as quickly as before.

Deliverables
• Updated theme files ready for production
• Change log summarising each compatibility fix
• A brief hand-off note describing any future-proofing steps I should know about

I will verify the work on both staging and live environments; payment is released once the theme passes without errors in WP_DEBUG and loads normally across desktop and mobile.
