University Math-Science Learning App

Job ID: 40139309

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m building a dedicated mobile and web platform that teaches university-level mathematics and science through structured video-based courses. The idea is simple: a student opens the app, chooses a topic—say Linear Algebra or Quantum Mechanics—and watches a sequence of high-quality lectures without hunting around the internet for reliable material.

Here’s what I need built:

• A clean, intuitive front-end for iOS, Android and a responsive web view that lets students browse, stream or download course videos.
• A lightweight back-end (Laravel, Node, Firebase, or similar—open to your suggestion) with an admin panel where I can upload videos, group them into courses, add brief descriptions, prerequisites and resource links.
• Basic user management: email/social login, profile photo, password reset.
• Resume-play functionality so learners can pick up exactly where they paused, even after switching devices.
• Search and filter by subject, difficulty and recency.
• Secure video delivery—using a service like AWS CloudFront, Vimeo OTT or an equivalent you’re comfortable with.
• A straightforward analytics dashboard showing total views and watch-time per course.

I’ll supply all video content; your job is to design the UX/UI, wire up the database, integrate the player, and deliver the source code plus a brief deployment guide. Clean, well-commented code is crucial because I’ll be maintaining the app long-term.

If this sounds like your wheelhouse, tell me what tech stack you’d choose, how long each milestone will take, and a couple of examples of similar education apps you’ve shipped. Let’s get this into students’ hands as soon as possible.
