Travel Review Platform Development
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to build an MVP that lets backpackers, locals and every kind of traveller post and browse honest reviews of hostels, hotels, restaurants and must-try dishes. From day one the product has to live on the web plus native iOS and Android apps so the same account follows a user wherever they go.
Key functionality I need in this first release:
• Robust user reviews and star ratings attached to places and dishes
• Easy social-media style posting so travellers can share photos and tips straight from their phone
• Real-time messaging between members for meet-ups or quick questions
Account creation must feel effortless, so you’ll wire up three entry points: classic email/password, one-click Google or Apple ID, and popular social networks (Facebook, X/Twitter or similar).
The job covers:
– UX/UI aligned with a modern travel community look
– Backend that can scale (your suggestion of language/framework is welcome; I’m leaning toward something cloud-hosted with a relational database for places and a NoSQL layer for posts)
– Web frontend plus separate iOS and Android builds, all working from the same API
– Basic admin panel to moderate content and flag abuse
When we hand off I expect:
1. Source code in a Git repo with clear setup docs
2. A staging server and TestFlight / beta builds I can try on my phone
3. Brief walkthrough of the architecture and next-step roadmap suggestions
If you’ve launched social, travel or review apps before, show me. Let’s get this community online and growing.
