Transportation Booking Website Development -- 2
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
Project Overview I run a shuttle service and I am looking to transition from phone-based reservations to a modern, fully responsive web-based platform. The goal is to build a comprehensive system that handles the entire lifecycle of a booking: from the customer’s purchase to the admin’s management, and finally to the driver’s fulfillment.
The system requires three distinct user roles:
Customer: For booking and payment.
Admin (Me): For management and dispatching.
Service Provider (Drivers/Partners): For viewing assigned trips and execution.
Core Requirements by User Role
1. Customer Front-End (Booking Engine)
Flow: A smooth, mobile-first interface where passengers can select a route, choose a date/time, and pay.
Payments: Secure processing via Credit/Debit cards (Stripe or PayPal preferred).
Automation: Instant email (and ideally SMS) confirmations triggered automatically upon successful payment.
Design: Clean, responsive design matching my existing brand assets.
2. Admin Dashboard (Management & Dispatch)
Booking Management: Ability to view, edit, and cancel bookings or issue refunds.
Dispatching System: A critical feature where I can assign specific bookings to specific Drivers or Partner Companies.
Schedule Management: Ability to edit routes, prices, and time slots.
Reporting: Exportable reports for sales and completed trips.
3. Service Provider Portal (Driver/Partner Dashboard)
Access: A secure login area for drivers or sub-contracted transfer firms.
Job Viewing: Once I assign a trip via the Admin panel, it should appear in the relevant Driver’s dashboard with all necessary details (Passenger name, pickup time, location, route).
Availability (Nice-to-have): Ability for drivers to mark themselves as "Available" or "Unavailable" for specific dates.
Status Updates: Ability for drivers to mark a trip as "Completed."
Technical Preferences
Stack: Open to suggestions (React, Vue, Laravel, Node.js) or a robust CMS solution (WordPress/WooCommerce) provided it can handle the custom multi-vendor/driver logic securely.
Security: High security for payment data and distinct access control for Admins vs. Drivers.
Deliverables
Production-Ready Website: Deployed to my hosting environment.
Source Code: Full ownership of the code.
Documentation: A guide on how to update schedules and manage driver accounts.
Timeline & Assets I am ready to kick off immediately. I can provide brand assets, route tables, and test payment credentials.
Please provide your estimated timeline and a ballpark cost, specifically highlighting your approach to the Driver Portal and Dispatch logic.
