Town Community Diary Platform

Job ID: 40414274

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I want to give every community club in our small town a simple, password-protected space where they can log daily activities and upcoming events, with all entries flowing into one public-facing, town-wide calendar. A Google-centric stack makes the most sense because our volunteers already use Google Workspace; think Google Calendar for the timeline itself and Firebase (or another Google-friendly solution) for sign-in and data storage. If you can propose a cleaner way that still feels familiar to non-technical users, I’m open to it.

Deliverables I need from you
• Secure sign-up and login for each club (unique username & password).
• Private dashboard per club featuring an easy Event Calendar view to add, edit or delete entries.
• Public master calendar that aggregates all club events in real time.
• Automated weekly email digest that sends residents a summary of the coming week’s events.
• Lightweight admin panel so I can reset passwords, moderate content and export data.

Please build it responsive, keep the interface friendly for people who only use their phones, and document any Google APIs or third-party libraries you tap into so future volunteers can maintain the system without headaches. I’ll test by creating a sample club, loading a week of events and confirming they appear both on the club page and in the master calendar, then verifying the digest email arrives on schedule.
