Swim Lesson Booking Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m building a web-based platform where parents and swimmers can quickly find an instructor, check real-time availability, pay for a lesson, and manage everything from a personal dashboard. The look and feel should be youthful and vibrant—bright colours, playful accents, and a clean, mobile-first layout that appeals to kids and adults alike.
Core user flow
1. Customers land on the site, browse instructor profiles, pick a location, see open slots, and confirm a booking.
2. Payment is processed on the spot (Stripe or a comparable gateway). The system automatically withholds taxes and platform fees.
3. Instructors receive the remaining balance, visible in their earnings tracker.
Dashboards
• Customer side: booking history, stored payment methods, and notification settings for reminders or cancellations.
• Instructor side: lesson schedule management, at-a-glance earnings tracking, and profile customisation (bio, certifications, per-location pricing).
Operational needs
• Admin panel so I can approve new instructors, adjust fee percentages, and trigger payouts.
• Initial launch will support just one or two instructors, but the codebase should be modular so we can scale user and location counts without a full rebuild.
• Security best practices, GDPR-ready data handling, and responsive performance on phone, tablet, and desktop.
Deliverables
– Full-stack web app (React / Next.js front end, Node.js or similar back end, SQL or NoSQL database)
– Integrated payment workflow with sandbox and live modes
– Instructor and customer dashboards as described above
– Admin panel with fee controls and reporting
– Deployment to my chosen host plus brief hand-over documentation and a walkthrough call
If you have prior marketplace or booking-engine experience, especially with Stripe-based split payments, I’d love to see it.
