Survey-Driven Website Builder MVP
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m building a web-app that turns a short, image-friendly survey into a fully deployed website. Here’s the experience I need you to deliver:
1. User flow
• Visitor answers a handful of configurable survey questions (style, purpose, audience and, importantly, an “Any feature request” field) and uploads screenshots of 2-3 inspiration sites.
• The system instantly generates several design variations—think AI-assisted mock-ups tied to a bank of responsive templates—so the user can preview, compare and pick their favourite. Automatic mock-up and variation generation is the number-one priority.
2. One-click launch
• After a design is chosen, the user is guided through hosting and domain selection. Integrate with providers that support affiliate links so we earn a commission on every purchase.
• On confirmation, the chosen template deploys automatically to the customer’s own domain, ready for traffic.
3. Management layer
• Each customer logs into our central admin where they can request edits.
• The same admin will later surface upsells—SEO, social media marketing, workflow automations, review management, etc.—so structure roles/permissions and UI with expansion in mind.
4. Plans & gating
• Free tier: build one site and export the mock-up only (no production code, no hosting).
• Paid tiers unlock code deployment, additional sites and forthcoming add-ons.
Deliverables
– MVP web-app (front-end + back-end) covering survey, inspiration upload, variation generation, hosting/domain provisioning and deployment
– Admin dashboard for both user self-service and our internal controls
– Clear README with setup, environment variables and API keys required
Tech stack is flexible, but modern frameworks (e.g. Next.js, React, Vue, Django, Laravel) and infrastructure-as-code for deployment will be a plus. I’m ready to move quickly once I see a concise plan and timeline.
