Supabase Geo-Discovery App
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m building a location-based social discovery platform focused on restaurant listings. The entire stack will rely on Supabase, so I need you to stand up and configure the Supabase backend—database schema, row-level security, authentication, storage, and REST/Realtime APIs—then hook it seamlessly to a clean, modern-minimalist interface.
Core flow: a user signs up with email-and-password, grants location access, and instantly sees nearby restaurants. They can browse an infinite-scroll list, refine results through search and filters, and open a detail view with photos, description, and map pin. All pages must be fully responsive; the mobile web experience is the priority, and the desktop web view can surface a subset of features for simplicity.
Deliverables
• Supabase project configured (auth, tables, policies, edge functions if needed)
• Frontend code (React or similar) consuming the Supabase API, including geospatial queries for “restaurants near me”
• Search & filter logic (distance, cuisine, rating, price)
• Listing and detail pages styled in a modern, minimalist design system
• Basic unit/integration test coverage and deployment instructions
Acceptance criteria: on a fresh install, I should be able to register with an email address, retrieve restaurant data within a 5-km radius of my GPS coordinates, and navigate smoothly between list and detail views on both mobile and desktop browsers.
