Service Marketplace Platform Development

I’m building a web-based marketplace where independent professionals can sell their services, run projects, and stay fully self-managed. The core of the platform must let each provider:
• Control a personal calendar that syncs in real time with Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar. Automatic conflict detection is essential so they never double-book.
• See taxes calculated automatically on every transaction, with the correct percentages applied by location and then stored for later download as a CSV or PDF report.
On the client side, visitors should be able to browse profiles, book available time slots, and pay securely through Stripe or a comparable gateway. A simple admin dashboard will let me oversee user accounts, disputes, and payout scheduling.
Deliverables
– Responsive web app (React or Vue preferred) with mobile-friendly UI
– Back-end API (Node.js, Django, or similar) that handles authentication, bookings, payments, and tax logic
– Calendar integration modules and webhook setup
– Automated tax calculation engine tied to each transaction
– Basic reporting page for providers to export their tax data
Once the MVP is live, I expect clear documentation and deployment to AWS or another mainstream cloud provider so maintenance is straightforward. If you’ve built marketplaces or heavy calendar integrations before, I’d love to see your work when you apply.
