School District Websites Overhaul
Budget: $50 – $100 USD
I’m preparing to rebuild every website in our district so families can finally find what they need without digging. The sites must first and foremost act as an information hub for parents and guardians, so clarity, speed, and consistency are non-negotiable.
Core content that has to sit front-and-center:
• School news and announcements
• Event calendars (Google Calendar sync preferred)
• Policies and procedures
Each campus will keep its own sub-site, yet the look, navigation, and back-end editing experience should feel unified. A modern CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, or another open-source platform is fine as long as my non-technical staff can post updates with minimal training. Please build in responsive templates, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, and multilingual support from day one.
Key integrations and features I have in mind include secure staff login, social-media and emergency-alert feeds, ADA-compliant document handling, and automated news cross-posting between schools and the district home page. Before sign-off I’ll test for load times under two seconds on mobile and desktop, spotless accessibility reports, and clean hand-off documentation.
If you’ve led multi-site educational builds and can hit those marks, I’d love to see your roadmap and recent work.
