Scholarship Portal Development

I need a fully-functioning web portal that does for scholarships what Buddy4Study or Vidyasaarathi already do so well: connect the right students with the right awards. The focus is discovery and matching, but I also want every stakeholder—students and scholarship providers alike—to be able to manage their part of the process inside the same system.

Core scope
• A searchable database where students can filter and browse opportunities by eligibility criteria, deadlines, award amounts and keywords.
• Secure user registration and profile modules for both audiences. Students will store academic details and documents; providers will create program pages and post updates.
• An application-tracking dashboard that shows real-time status, from “submitted” through final decision, with automated email or in-app notifications along the way.

Both user groups should feel at home, so separate yet connected workspaces (student profile area and provider console) are essential. Responsive design is a must; most traffic will be mobile.

Deliverables
1. UI/UX mock-ups approved before coding begins.
2. Fully coded portal, preferably on a scalable stack (e.g., React + Node/Express or Laravel, but I’m open).
3. Admin panel for content moderation and analytics.
4. Deployment to my hosting, basic documentation, and a short hand-off session.

Acceptance criteria
• Search returns accurate, paginated results within two seconds.
• Role-based access prevents students from viewing provider data meant to stay private, and vice-versa.
• Each application’s status can be updated by the provider and is instantly reflected in the student dashboard.
