Scalable Web E-Commerce Platform

I’m building a browser-based store that sells digital products only, so every sale must finish with an instant, secure download. The core of the project is a responsive web application that can grow smoothly as traffic scales. For now I’m focusing purely on the web; if things go well I may branch into mobile later, but that isn’t part of this brief.
Key deliverables
• Responsive storefront with modern UX (React, Vue, or similar)
• Shopping-cart flow tied to major gateways such as Stripe or PayPal, with tax/VAT handling built in
• Download management that automatically unlocks files after payment, supports multiple file formats, and guards against link sharing
• Admin dashboard to upload products, set prices, generate discount codes, and view real-time sales data
• Documentation covering server setup, environment variables, and how to add new products
Acceptance criteria
• End-to-end purchase results in a working download link in under five seconds
• All payments processed over HTTPS with PCI-compliant gateway
• Codebase lint-clean and pushed to a private Git repo with one-click deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar)
• Load test proves 500 concurrent checkouts without errors
