Revitalizing Aldergrove Logistics' Website

Job ID: 40599355

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

Company: Aldergrove Logistics — a regional freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm with around 40 staff across two offices. We handle sea, air, and road freight for mid-sized importers and exporters. Our current website is roughly eight years old, difficult to update, and doesn't reflect the size of business we do today.

Project Overview

We're rebuilding our website from the ground up on WordPress. This is a full replacement, not a facelift: new structure, new templates, migrated content, and a proper quote request system that feeds into our sales process. The site is our main inbound channel, so it needs to be dependable, fast, and easy for our marketing coordinator to maintain without touching code.

We are not looking for anything experimental. We want a well-built, conventional site by someone who has delivered projects of this size before and can manage a multi-week schedule without constant chasing.

Scope of Work / Deliverables

Structure & build

Approximately 25–30 pages, built on a custom or well-established premium theme (tell us which and why)
Page templates: home, services overview, individual service pages (6), industries served (4), about, team, two office/location pages, careers, news/insights index and article template, contact, plus standard legal pages
Custom fields (ACF or equivalent) so content is edited through clean forms, not raw page builder blocks
Responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile

Quote request system

Multi-step quote request form: shipment type, origin/destination, cargo details, timeline, contact details
Conditional logic (sea freight asks different questions than air)
Submissions stored in WordPress and emailed to the correct team inbox based on shipment type
Integration with our HubSpot account so enquiries create a contact and deal
Spam protection that doesn't punish legitimate users

Content & migration

Migrate approximately 40 existing news/insight articles with formatting intact
301 redirect map from old URLs to new, so we don't lose rankings
Preserve existing metadata where it still applies

Technical

Deploy to our existing hosting (managed WordPress, we'll provide access)
SSL, staging environment, and automated backups configured
Target 85+ mobile PageSpeed score on key templates
Cookie consent and GDPR-compliant form handling — we're UK based with EU clients
Basic on-page SEO: schema for organisation and articles, XML sitemap, clean heading structure

Handover

Written documentation plus one recorded walkthrough for our marketing coordinator
30 days of post-launch bug support

Requirements
