Research Lab Website Build

I need a modern website that presents our research lab’s work to the world and keeps collaborators, students, and funding partners up to date. The site must include three core content areas:

• a searchable publication database that I can update easily,
• clear overviews of current and past research projects, and
• member profile pages with photos, bios, and contact links.

On the design side I will supply brand guidelines and a logo, and I’d like you to weave those consistently into the layout. The interface should feel clean and academic while still being visually engaging, so interactive data visualisations (charts, maps, timelines—whatever best communicates our results) are essential. Everything has to look and work flawlessly on phones, tablets, and desktops.

I’m happy to use WordPress, Drupal, or a lightweight custom framework as long as the admin area lets non-technical staff add new publications, projects, and personnel without touching code. Please outline:

• the tech stack or CMS you recommend,
• any plug-ins or libraries you would rely on for the database and visualisations, and
• a rough timeline from wireframe to launch (including user testing and content hand-off).

Final acceptance will be based on:
1. Fully functional publication search with citation export.
2. Project and member pages generated from structured back-end fields.
3. Brand-compliant UI, mobile-first responsiveness, and at least two embedded interactive charts.
4. Clear documentation and a brief training call for our team.
