Referrer-Hiding Script Development
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I want a simple, reliable way to stop the original page URL from being passed to third-party sites when someone follows an outbound link on my site. Privacy protection is the sole reason for this change; no tracking or SEO tweaks are involved.
My preference is a self-contained script that I can drop into the codebase and call in the usual way (for example, wrapping external links with a function or adding a lightweight JavaScript helper). I’m open to whether you use JavaScript, a small inline worker, or any other browser-friendly approach, as long as it keeps page performance intact and works across modern browsers without breaking analytics on my end.
Please deliver:
• A fully commented script file
• Clear integration steps (ideally no more than a couple of lines to add)
• A quick test page or demo showing the referrer removed or replaced
If you can cover fallback behaviour for older browsers and outline any limitations in a brief read-me, that will be enough for me to plug it straight into production.
