Real-Time Shipping Marketplace Site
Budget: $500 – $3,000 USD
The project centres on a web platform that instantly matches shippers with courier companies and lets them book shipments in a few clicks. Booking flows sit at the heart of the build, so a friction-free path from quote to confirmation is essential.
Both shippers and couriers must be able to see live location updates once a job is in transit. Please wire this through a modern mapping stack (Google Maps, Mapbox, or a similar API) and push location events in real time via WebSockets or an equivalent technology.
Beyond core booking and tracking, the site needs:
• Secure payment processing that can hold funds in escrow until delivery is confirmed
• A two-way rating & review system after each completed job
• An in-app chat or help widget to provide instant customer support, ideally with an admin dashboard for agents
Key deliverables
1. Responsive front-end (React, Vue, or similar) with intuitive dashboards for shippers and couriers
2. Backend services (Node.js, Django, Laravel, etc.) handling user auth, booking logic, and live tracking feeds
3. Integration of payments, reviews, and support chat as listed above
4. Deployment scripts and basic documentation so I can spin up staging and production environments
Acceptance criteria
• A shipper can post a shipment, compare offers, and complete payment in one session
• Both user roles see live GPS updates within 5-second latency once a shipment is underway
• Completed jobs automatically trigger mutual rating prompts and release of escrow
• Customer-support chat remains available on every page and logs conversations for admin review
I’ll supply branding assets and any courier-specific APIs we may leverage for extra tracking data. Clean, modular code and clear hand-off notes will round off the engagement.
