React-Node UI & Feature Upgrade
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Our small team is entering the next sprint to polish and extend an established web app built with React.js on the front-end and Node.js on the back-end. The codebase already runs smoothly, but the interface is dated and the product roadmap now calls for real-time collaboration features and deeper third-party API ties.
You’ll slide in as an intermediate contributor, working closely with two other developers during North American / European hours. Clear, responsive communication on Slack and brief video stand-ups is essential, as we iterate fast and share code reviews daily on GitHub.
Core stack you’ll touch:
• React.js + HTML5 with TailwindCSS for a modern, responsive UI refresh
• Node.js (Express) for new endpoints and websocket support to power real-time updates
• RESTful and possibly GraphQL integrations for external services we’re onboarding
Deliverables this cycle
1. Rework several key screens with TailwindCSS, preserving existing logic while modernizing layout and accessibility.
2. Implement real-time data flow (Socket.io or native websockets) so changes appear instantly for all active users.
3. Build and document clean API integration layers that slot into our current Node.js services.
4. Open pull requests with clear commit history and unit tests; peer review until merge.
Acceptance criteria will be a green test suite, zero lint errors, and UI sign-off from our product designer.
If collaborating in a tight-knit, communicative environment sounds like your groove and you’re based in North America or Europe, let’s get you a repo invite and sprint board access right away.
