Public Text Submission Website
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a straightforward site where anyone can submit a piece of text that lands in a moderation queue. From an internal dashboard I will decide what to publish, edit if needed, and then assign each approved item to a topic so it appears in the correct public section.
Core flow
• Visitor opens a single-page form, types or pastes their text, hits “Send”.
• The entry is stored as “pending” until I review it.
• Inside the admin panel I can read, edit, reject or approve and tag it with one of the predefined topics.
• Once approved it goes live immediately under that topic and becomes searchable/browsable by visitors.
A few details I’m still flexible on:
– Whether authors must create an account or can post as guests. I’m happy to follow your recommendation on the best balance of ease-of-use and spam control.
– Framework: I’m comfortable with Laravel, Django, or a lightweight Node/React stack; choose whichever lets you build the moderation workflow quickly and keeps the code clean.
– Design: simple, mobile-friendly, nothing flashy—clarity over cosmetics.
Deliverables I expect
• Public submission page, responsive and accessible
• Database scheme that stores the text, status and topic tag
• Admin dashboard with queue, edit, approve/reject and topic assignment controls
• Public listing pages by topic, plus search or filter
• Basic spam/abuse deterrent (captcha, rate-limit or similar)
• Clear deployment instructions (Docker or plain VPS is fine) and hand-off of source code
