PrestaShop Multilingual Bug Audit

Job ID: 40355569

Budget: €12 – €18 EUR

I am looking for an experienced PrestaShop developer to resolve a persistent multilingual rendering issue on an e-commerce website built with the Optima theme, which integrates an Elementor-like page builder.

Several pages currently display a mix of French and English strings within the same template, resulting in inconsistent and confusing content presentation for users.

**Current observations**
• The issue primarily affects certain templates and builder-generated content.
• Both static content and dynamic elements (widgets, blocks, possibly hooks) are impacted.
• The problem likely originates from incorrect translation mapping, improper locale context configuration, untranslated builder fields, or modules not fully aligned with PrestaShop’s native translation system.
• There appears to be an inconsistency between the theme, the page builder, and the translation engine.

**Scope of work**

1. Perform a targeted technical audit of the theme, builder components, translation system, hooks, and language context configuration.
2. Identify the exact root cause (theme override, builder issue, module conflict, or translation misconfiguration).
3. Implement a clean and robust fix aligned with PrestaShop best practices, without breaking existing layouts or functionality.
4. Test thoroughly in both French and English environments, including cache clearing and front-end validation.
5. Provide a brief technical summary of the issue and applied solution to ensure maintainability.

**Requirements**
• Strong experience with PrestaShop (core, themes, overrides)
• Familiarity with Smarty templates and multilingual architecture
• Experience with page builders or Elementor-like systems is a plus

The task will be considered complete once all pages correctly display a single language per locale, with no remaining mixed translations.
