Phone Store Management Suite
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a single, tightly-integrated application that keeps my phone retail shop running smoothly from the back room right through to the checkout. The system must handle four pillars of the business—Inventory, Sales, Reports, and a light Labour module—so I can stop jumping between spreadsheets and off-the-shelf apps.
Inventory
• Live stock tracking that updates the moment a sale is completed.
• Simple product categorisation (brand, model, accessory type, etc.) so staff can find items fast.
• Automatic reorder alerts when any SKU hits its minimum threshold, with the option to email or pop up in-app.
Sales
• A clean POS flow that records every transaction, applies discounts or taxes as needed, and stores them in a searchable log.
• Built-in sales analytics to surface best-sellers, slow movers, and daily revenue trends.
• Basic customer management: capture name, contact, and purchase history for future promos.
Reports
Any data stored in the system should be exportable to PDF or CSV with one click. Typical reports include inventory valuation, end-of-day sales, tax summaries, and reorder lists. Custom date ranges are a must.
Labour
A lightweight time-clock so staff can punch in/out, plus automatic labour-cost summaries that I can compare against sales in the Reports section.
Acceptance criteria
1. All core features above run smoothly in a web browser on desktop and tablet.
2. Role-based logins keep inventory edits, sales, and admin reports separate.
3. Data is stored securely (MySQL or PostgreSQL are fine) and can be backed up in one step.
4. Final hand-off includes source code, a brief setup guide, and a walk-through call.
Feel free to suggest a tech stack you’re comfortable with—Laravel, Django, Node, React, or similar—as long as future maintenance is straightforward.
