Pharmacy Online Ordering System Development
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I run a busy community pharmacy and am ready to move beyond the counter by giving patients a secure, user-friendly way to order medicines online. The goal is a full online ordering system that plugs directly into my existing point-of-sale and inventory software so stock, pricing, and prescription status stay perfectly in sync.
Here’s the picture.
• Responsive web interface (mobile-first is a must) where customers can upload prescriptions, browse OTC products, add to cart, and choose delivery or in-store pickup.
• Back-office dashboard for my team: real-time inventory view, prescription verification queue, payment capture, and delivery routing.
• Pharmacy-specific safeguards—HIPAA-compliant data handling, two-factor login for patients, and audit logs for controlled substances.
• Seamless integration with our current POS (Pharmaserv) through its documented REST API. If you have worked with similar pharmacy platforms, let me know.
• Payment gateway set-up (we currently use Stripe) and secure hosting recommendations.
I’m also upgrading technology on the shop floor—new barcode scanners, eReceipt printers, and a tablet station for click-and-collect check-in—so advice on hardware compatibility during development will be appreciated.
You can build from scratch or customise an existing solution as long as licensing is clear and future maintenance is straightforward. I’ll test with a pilot group of patients; once they can place, pay for, and collect an order without hiccups, we’ll call the first phase finished and discuss ongoing enhancements.
If your portfolio shows real pharmacy or healthcare e-commerce experience, let’s talk timelines and milestones today.
