Performance-First WordPress Site Development

Job ID: 40372357

Budget: $10 – $1,000 CAD

I am looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer to build a 23-page website. While I am an experienced Shopify and WordPress developer myself, I am looking for a specialist who can handle the deep technical optimization required to hit elite performance benchmarks.

The site must be lightweight, scalable, and built with a "performance-first" mindset. This is not a project for someone who relies on heavy page builders (Elementor/Divi) or excessive plugins.

Technical Requirements & Benchmarks
The core deliverable is a fully functional site that achieves a 90+ Score on Google PageSpeed Insights (PSI) for both Mobile and Desktop across all four categories:
- Performance
- Accessibility
- Best Practices
- SEO

Target Core Web Vitals (CWV):
The completed project must meet the following "Good" threshold benchmarks:
- LCP : < 2.5 seconds
- INP : < 200 milliseconds
- CLS : < 0.1
- TTFB : < 500ms

Scope of Work
- Development: Build 23 pages (Home, Services, About, Blog, Contact, etc.) based on provided wireframes/designs.
- Optimization: Implementation of advanced caching, image compression (WebP/AVIF), minification, and critical CSS.
- Accessibility: Ensure WCAG 2.1 compliance (proper aria-labels, contrast ratios, and keyboard navigation).
A
- Clean Code: Prefer Gutenberg/Block Editor or a lightweight custom theme approach over bloated frameworks.

Ideal Candidate
You should have a deep understanding of:
- WordPress architecture and database optimization.
- Asset loading strategies (defer/async scripts).
- Reducing third-party script impact.
- Server-side optimization (compatibility with LiteSpeed or Nginx).

How to Apply
Please do not send a generic copy-paste proposal. To be considered, please include:
1. A brief explanation of your preferred tech stack for hitting 90+ PSI on mobile.
2. Examples of previous WordPress projects where you achieved 90+ performance scores (provide links or PSI screenshots).
3. Your approach to maintaining a low CLS and INP on content-heavy pages.
