Online auction marketplace read!
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
To compete with established players like Chrono24 and GetBezel, we need to launch with enough substance to give users a reason to switch—and a reason to stay.
In short:
What might look like “feature-heavy” is actually strategy-heavy—it’s what will differentiate us and build long-term traction.
I want to build a platform similar in design to Cars & Bids, but exclusively for luxury watches — a modern online marketplace featuring both Buy It Now and Auction options, an integrated Buy-Back / Trade-In Program, and a Community Feed to foster engagement among enthusiasts.
⸻
Core Features
1. Two Selling Options

• Auction: Sellers can auction watches with starting bids, reserve prices, and countdown timers.
2. Buy-Back / Trade-In Program
• Customers choose to:
• Trade In: Redirects them to the dedicated Buy-Back section.
• List for Sale: If they decline, they’re prompted to list their watch on the marketplace.
3. User Authorization
• Buyers must register with name and email to purchase.
• Sellers must register to list watches and manage their account.
• Integrated feedback and review system to build trust.
4. Product Listings

• Random code generation for each listing.
• Manage products, auctions, users, bids, disputes, and content.

• Comment, like, and interact with posts (similar to Instagram feed or Facebook timeline).
Option to showcase featured posts from verified collectors.

• Social Component: Community Feed functions similarly to a simple watch-focused social network.
