Ongoing Website Maintenance & Enhancements

Job ID: 40482065

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

My site is live and used daily, so stability and speed are non-negotiable. I need an experienced web developer who can slip straight into a maintenance cycle: hunting down bugs the moment they appear, tightening performance, applying security patches before they become urgent, and—most importantly—building new functionality that keeps the platform evolving.

You’ll be free to choose the modern stack or workflow you prefer as long as the result is clean, well-documented code that slots neatly into the existing architecture. Clear communication is essential; I expect quick status updates when an issue is identified and resolved, plus a concise plan when a larger upgrade is on the horizon.

Typical flow of work and acceptance criteria:
1. Complete a short audit of the current codebase and hand me a punch-list of critical bugs and performance bottlenecks.
2. Patch all identified security vulnerabilities without breaking current features; automated tests must pass before deployment.
3. Optimise loading times on key pages to meet or beat current Core Web Vitals benchmarks.
4. Design and deploy at least one new feature each sprint, documented in the repo and accompanied by a brief user guide for the content team.

Please tell me about similar maintenance contracts you’ve handled, the tech stack you’re most comfortable with, and the weekly hours you can dedicate. A link to a changelog or Git history that shows your troubleshooting style would be ideal.
