ONU Monitoring Software Development
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a purpose-built application that lets me view everything happening inside our Optical Network Units in real time, no matter which workstation I am sitting at. A web-based or otherwise cross-platform solution is preferred so it can be opened from Windows, macOS, or Linux without complication.
The core data I must see on the dashboard includes:
• Online status
• Power level
• Signal strength
• Last Deregister and current Deregister states
• Distance reading
• VLAN assignment
• ONU ID
• A space to add further metrics later
Please design the interface so these values refresh live, trigger visual or e-mail alerts when thresholds are crossed, and keep historical logs I can export as CSV or view in trend graphs.
The back-end may query the devices over SNMP, OMCI, or any protocol you recommend; what matters is accuracy, stability, and minimal load on the network. An intuitive filtering/search function, role-based user access, and straightforward installation steps round out the requirements.
I will consider the project complete once the software is installed on one of our servers, successfully pulling data from several test ONUs, and the above metrics display and alert exactly as described.
