I’m building a web platform whose sole focus is hosting real-time multiplayer games. The site should let visitors pick a title, jump straight into a lobby, be paired automatically with opponents of similar skill, and start playing with minimal friction. Robust, latency-aware player matchmaking is the only mandatory game feature at this stage; leaderboards or in-game chat can remain optional placeholders for later expansion.

The job covers everything from the core website (responsive front-end, secure account system, and game catalogue page) to the multiplayer back-end that will broker WebSocket connections, maintain game states, and expose a clean API so new titles can plug in easily. I’m open to whichever stack you’re most productive with—Node.js, Go, Elixir, or similar for the server; React, Vue, or plain TypeScript for the client—as long as you can demonstrate stable, low-latency matchmaking and easy horizontal scaling.

Deliverables
• A live, browser-based proof-of-concept that supports at least one multiplayer demo game.
• Automated player matchmaking that balances by ELO (or a comparable rating you propose) and handles queue congestion gracefully.
• Admin dashboard to monitor active sessions, server load, and basic metrics.
• Deployment scripts or Docker setup so I can spin up new instances on my own cloud account.

I’ll test final delivery by running several concurrent game sessions from different regions; smooth pairing and uninterrupted play will serve as acceptance criteria. If you can ship clean, well-documented code and a short hand-off call, we’re good to go.
