Multilingual Thesaurus Web App Development
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Help with Microsoft 2007.
I need to download language packs and access the thesaurus for a project that involves creating derivative content that is legal because of 'trans formativeness' requirements for copywrite law.
Transformative use is a critical fair use doctrine concept where a new work alters copyrighted material with new expression, meaning, or message, often weighing heavily in favor of non-infringement.
I will mix the databases with:
Key Public Domain Thesaurus Resources
Moby Thesaurus (by Grady Ward): Often considered the most comprehensive public domain source, featuring over 30,000 root words and 2.5 million synonyms. It is widely used for NLP applications and is available in ASCII format via Project Gutenberg.
WordNet (Princeton University): While primarily a lexical database, it functions as a comprehensive thesaurus by grouping words into "synsets" (cognitive synonyms). It is free to download, though it requires attribution.
Roget's Thesaurus: Older editions (pre-1929) are in the public domain and available through sources like Project Gutenberg and the roget.org website.
OpenOffice/LibreOffice Thesaurus: Often cited as a reliable, open-source alternative for synonym data.
The language packs are free at:

The database will be used as a basis for a new database that is significantly different but uses some base synonyms from the language packs. This is legal and I bear full responsibility.
I'm looking to create a postgre database to use in a web app that works in more than 1 language. The web app is a thesaurus with checkboxes next to each synonym and a copy paste feature. I would also like the ability to search more than 1 synonym at a time and have the results show up in columns.
The app should be mobile friendly and also available to work as a chrome plugin.
Please let me know your relevant skills and if you can do the job.
