Modern Salon Booking Web Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a full-featured web platform for my beauty salon that feels modern and sleek from the first click. At launch the site must let clients create their own profiles, book available time slots, reschedule up to 24 hours in advance, and leave ratings once their visit is complete. Stylists will sign in through a separate dashboard where they can view, confirm or decline appointments in real time.
Because I plan to release iOS and Android apps later, please structure the project with a clear API layer (REST or GraphQL) so the mobile team can plug straight in without rewriting business logic. Smart architecture is more important to me than the choice of stack, but I am leaning toward React / Next.js or Vue for the front end and Node, Laravel or Django for the back end—open to your recommendation if it keeps the code clean and future proof.
Key expectations
• Responsive UI that matches a modern, sleek aesthetic
• Secure user registration and profile management
• Calendar-based scheduling with stylist, service and chair availability rules
• Stylist portal for daily and weekly agenda views
• Reschedule window locked at 24 hours prior to the appointment
• Automated reminders delivered by email and WhatsApp (Twilio or similar)
• Post-service reviews with 1–5 star rating and optional comment
• Basic social media hooks so clients can share bookings or leave reviews via Instagram / Facebook
• Admin panel for service menus, working hours, promo codes and user management
Acceptance will be based on:
1. Smooth booking flow tested across desktop, tablet and mobile browsers.
2. API documentation that lets another developer build a mobile client with no guesswork.
3. Deployment instructions and staging URL for demonstration.
4. Source code in a private Git repository with clear commit history and README.
If this sounds like a build you can take from Figma wireframes (or create them yourself) all the way to production, let’s talk about your proposed tech stack and timeline.
