Migration of Existing HTML Website into Fully Built WordPress Theme

Project Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced WordPress developer to migrate our current static HTML website into a fully built WordPress theme that we will provide. All existing content (text, images, metadata) must be transferred exactly, and the site structure—including page names and URLs—must remain unchanged. You’re encouraged to enhance the layout with additional sections and visuals so that the content feels fresh and cohesive within the new design.
Scope of Work:
Content Migration
Extract all page copy (headings, paragraphs, lists, etc.) from the existing HTML site.
Download and organize all original images, graphics, and media assets.
Recreate each page in WordPress, inserting text and images into the provided, fully built theme’s page layouts.
Theme Integration & Styling
Install and configure the supplied, fully built WordPress theme—no additional theme purchases.
Adapt all content to flow seamlessly within the new design: use the theme’s fonts, colors, spacing, and layout patterns.
You may add new content sections (e.g., feature blocks, testimonials, call-to-action banners) to enhance user engagement and page flow.
Implement any inline CSS adjustments or template overrides necessary to ensure a polished, cohesive look.
Visual Enhancements
Place royalty-free stock images or placeholder graphics where needed to fill new or existing sections.
Clearly label stock-image placeholders so they can be replaced later with brand-specific visuals.
Ensure all imagery aligns with the overall aesthetic and responsiveness of the theme.
URL & Page Naming Preservation
Maintain the exact same page slugs (e.g., /about-us/, /services/) as in the HTML site.
Configure WordPress permalinks to mirror the existing folder/file structure.
Verify that all internal links (navigation menus, in-content links, CTAs) point to the correct WordPress URLs.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure full responsiveness.
Check for broken links, missing images, and formatting errors.
Confirm that SEO-relevant elements (page titles, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy) are preserved.
Deliverables:
A live WordPress staging site (or local environment) with all pages fully migrated and enhanced.
A document listing any added sections or stock-image placeholders and instructions for replacing them.
Full site review report, including any deviations or recommendations.
Instructions for final deployment (if staging is provided).
Required Skills & Experience:
